Everybody's Doing It, Why Can't I?

Alrighty then...welcome to my new blog and please excuse my inexperience as this is all new to me. My name is Shelley, I live in a log home in the woods of Connecticut and I love to sew things - the funkier the better and now that I've been laid off from my corporate job I have time to do some of the things on my "To Do" list, one of which is to start a blog. Seems like everyone else has one so why not!

I'd like to take this opportunity to shamelessly plug my Etsy shop, YellowViolet (http://www.yellowviolet.etsy.com/) and show you my latest creation:

I call them Bohemian mats. This is a 12 incher and it can be used as a hot pad, chair pad, under a plant thingy or whatever. I also make smaller ones, different color ones, oval ones...you get the picture.

OK I'm feeling pretty big with myself right now because I've figured out how to do all this so I'm not going to push my luck! I'll be back soon!
